JURAN'S TRIOLOGY
Quality Planning => Quality control => Quality Improvement
Quality Planning:-
Establishment of Quality goals,
Define Customer Requirement,
Requirement to be transformed into our language
Develop the product of this requirement
Optimise the Product Features for these needs
Quality Control :
Proves the capability of the process to produce as per requirements
Quality Improvement
Seeks to Optimise the process through Diagnosis Tools.
There are many methods for quality improvement.
These cover product improvement, process improvement and people based improvement. In the following list are methods of quality management and techniques that incorporate and drive quality improvement:

Six Sigma
Six Sigma is a set of techniques and tools for process improvement
Six Sigma seeks to improve the quality of process outputs by
(Plan- Do- Check- Act)
Plan :- Plan a change to the process. Predict the effect this change will have and plan how the effects will be measured.
Do :- Implement the change on a small scale and measure the effects
Check:- Study the results to learn what effect the change had
Act :- Adopt the change as a permanent modification to the process
7 QC Tools-
7 tools to improve the Quality Called "7 QC Tools" FBI DGP SS
Flow chart : A symbolic Representation of Sequencial step of a process
Brain Storming :To Generate New Idea for Root Causes / Solutions
Ishikawa Diagram : Also known as Fishbone Diagram
Data collection : can be done through Check sheet Run chart Spread sheet Tabular form
Graphs / Charts :The construction of a control chart is based on statistical principles and statistical distributions, namely normal Distribution
Parato: Parato chart is used to define the problems in most contributing order
Stratification : By material, Machine, Operator, Method, measurement system.
Scatter Plot : To find relationship between two variables. To test for cause and effect relationships
KAIZEN-
The word is from Japan (KAI + ZEN)
Kai= 'Change' or 'Action to correct'
ZEN= 'Good'
The Kaizen is developed By Masaaki Imai.
It is basically incremental changes made for improving productivity and minimise the waste.
This tool is Widely Applicable, Result Oriented & highly effective.
The Team is working to improve for productivity & to minimise the waste.
In Toyota, known as one of the leader in using the Kaizen.
Basically, the kaizen is the small small changes to improve & to make it effective:
three principles to look into :
1. consider the process and the Results
2. Look into entire process- How it is done - evaluate how best it can be done.
3. Approached in a way not to blame anyone but to put best process in place.
